Master in Medical Hydrology and Thermal Medicine

History:
This Master was established in the academic year 2009–2010, coinciding with the reorganization of medical specialization schools, which drastically reduced the number of available positions for the Specialization School in Thermal Medicine—from approximately 80 per year to just 1 per year across all of Italy.

Objectives:
This Master aims to train physicians specialized in evaluating the effectiveness of hydrological therapies, managing patients in thermal settings, and overseeing the medical organization of thermal facilities, with particular emphasis on the role of Medical Director in such establishments.

This master is also open to other healthcare professionals working in thermal centers, such as physiotherapists, nurses, dietitians/nutritionists, and graduates in motor sciences.

This Level II University Master’s program has a strong professional orientation, enhancing job opportunities in the following areas:

·      Thermal establishments, both as Thermal Physicians and Medical Directors

·      Healthcare organizations (such as Local Health Authorities, IRCCS hospitals, etc.)

·      Private practices involving thermal therapies, applicable to various general and specialized medical fields (internal medicine, dermatology, otolaryngology, gastroenterology, gynecology, rehabilitation medicine, general practitioners)

·      Private practices involving thermal therapies in the field of physiotherapy

·      Private practices involving thermal therapies in sports medicine, motor rehabilitation, pharmacy, and biological sciences
